Been using this app for many years but less and less continues to work. Has this app been abandoned? I used to really love this app. Please give it some love for iOS 18 ❤️

Been using it since 2012 and 5 different cars. Once you learn everything you can do with it it’s easy.

I’ve used this app on three phones. Installing it on a new phone today prompted me to make this review. I love this app, it’s pretty simple and it keeps track of my mileage and gas purchases. The developer has made migrating the data to new devices (or even archiving it) pretty painless. I honestly don’t know what additional features I would add (maybe automatically backing up the data to dropbox, but I’m reaching). It just does what it does very well. It’s great.

I’d really like to give this a 5-star review but with my last few vehicles I’ve noticed there is always one service reminder I cannot find (I track performance and mileage, etc. on both mine and my wife’s vehicles and have for over 10 years+). If 4 are showing as due, I can only find 3 in red in the app. I always rotate my tires with oil changes and I add a PTFE engine additive during oil changes as well. On every other oil change, I also have the tires balanced (in addition to rotating them). The obvious service reminders show, but one is always invisible. Why is that and where is it and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance.

Simply the way to control and keep my vehicles health. It helps me to remember for past condition of the vehicles, repairs, oil change, wheels rotation and all I want to have it in control

Wish we were able to send the information and hold to someone else to choose in the app or when you move a car to a child

I’ve used this app for years with no issue, but it’s suddenly stopped keeping track of fuel entries. I’ve lost the last 2 months worth of entries. It saving some of it - the mileage I enter is current, but the fuel fills stopped saving, which makes it useless for fuel efficiency.

Great app to track all your gas and services/repairs. Great reminders and easily customizable for your preferences. Awesome support too. Had a minor issue exporting / emailing the data and the issue was answered promptly. One minor improvement I would recommend is a modification to the notes field. It’s a bit difficult to work with and sometimes the entire note is not viewable on the entry. But a very useful app. I’ll be selling my car soon and can give the buyer a complete report (through the export function) of the maintenance and gas! A good thing for my sale negotiating. 😁

I have used this app for years and it has been terrific.

Where are the updates. I have used this forbears but unit seems like the developer has disappeared. Could use some new features and bug fixes.

I've been using this app since September 2008. Multiple vehicles, changed phones, updated, never lost anything. I’m a car guy. Always tinkering, and upgrading. Every part, every injector cleaner bottle, every cent is tracked on this app. I have great stats on every vehicle! I love this app. Will keep it forever! Just make an entry at every fillup. It makes graphs, charts and statistics. Update 01/22 Still working great on the latest phone. Thanks again !

Does what it says

This App is terrible. Can not go back and see previous fuel entries and no way to update them. Would like my money back before I delete this app.

This and Gas Buddy get a whole lot of use! This was accurate until my link disappeared today on my new iPhone 12. When I touch the app it takes me to a page with thank you for your purchase and at the top “edit” not active and an active button to “add” a car. 😢

I replaced an aging iPhone 4s with an iPhone 12 this week. Since I couldn’t import the apps and data directly into the iPhone 12, I used the Car Care export feature to save the data on a car to a tab delimited text file. I had to pay for a new version of Car Car for the new phone, but was happy to do this since my wife and I have been using the app for all of our cars. Unfortunately, the web-based import feature is broken and I can’t import the data collected since the car was new. I can upload the formatted data into the KarlBecker utility with no problems. When I submit the form so I can receive an ID number and password so I can import the data into the phone, I see a mostly black screen with no information. While I have been happy with Car Care for many years, the inability to restore historical information after replacing a phone is a huge deal breaker.

Love and used this app for years. But recently I’ve noticed I no longer get reminder pop ups for services due. Just downloaded the latest update, but no change.

I have used this app for years to track about 6 cars. Helps me remember each cars service items.

It would be cool to be able to see a quick breakdown of how many miles are on various parts on your vehicle especially tires for example. The app is great for reminding you to get your car serviced, but it’s less obvious (requires subtraction) to find those stats. Also, it would be cool to be able to track miles on summer and winter tires. I tried to set up a reminder to buy new tires but I realized it can’t track multiple sets. Also, it would be cool to be able to list out average miles between oil changes, etc to see how good of an owner you’ve been.

Car care app is amazing however the new update totally broke the ability to view entries on any of your vehicles as lines are all on top of each other so now is a useless app

I have this car care app a long time.... when it first came out. Over the years with different phones and updates I have had numerous times it doesn’t save the VIN. It’s not a recent update causing the problem. Today I added another vehicle. It didn’t save the VIN.... then it didn’t save mileage. Finally got it to save the VIN after numerous tries. Then it crashed when I loaded the photo. Tried this about 6 times. Re-booted the phone after I closed all the open apps. It still crashed the app when I loaded a photo. Tried loading several more times..... it finally took the picture. I am afraid it will still lose the info like it has done on other cars I have. I have around 8 vehicles loaded.... maybe that’s too many!

This app is completely broken on my iPhone 7 running iOS 13.3.1. Older entries disappear upon editing, and attempting to re-enter them causes the app to crash randomly. I’ve been trying for fifteen minutes to correct and re-enter four simple gas fill-ups from my previous entries and this Car Care app has fought me every step of the way. It’s an absolute nightmare that I’m deleting from my phone immediately - not worth the headache. This app needs A LOT of work.

Have been using this app since my first iPhone. It’s still the best app for tracking fuel, mileage and maintenance.

I’ve used this app for several years and have been mostly satisfied. However, recent update that supports IOS 13, dark mode, etc. crashes every time I try to look at the entries for each of the 3 vehicles I track. Since updates come at best 1 year intervals, am I forced to export the data (assuming that still works) and try importing to another app? Update-a new update was pushed within a day or two of leaving my review. Update solved the problem and then the developer reached out to see if the problem was resolved. Pretty good if you ask me.

Lousy Dark Mode support. Crashes when I try to view entries I do get on Dark Mode are difficult to read because of the darkish fonts on a dark background. Needs more work.

Now, all it does is crash when I try to start it. The last update turned it to useless and the app support website crashes too. I’ve come to count on this thing now I guess u need to replace it

I’ve used this app for YEARS! I like how it transfers over via iCloud. Never lost my stuff. Their customer service is also very responsive when I lost my iTunes email and account and helped transfer my data over. My asks: - the ability to save and transfer the file and not the excel and coding - PLEASE add differential flush, Brakes changed, Brake flush, radiator flush, transfer case flush, a misc category. - the ability to share on Facebook to more people will download the app

“Upgrade “ from 2 days ago failed! When trying to look at entries the app immediately quits and returns you to the phone main screen. Update: Contacted the developer by email- new update fixed the problem. Back to a great app!

Looks like they tried to fix the problem but no success. You can now see eateries but when adding new service can’t see the selections. Still broke and needs fixing or guess I will go looking for another application that works.

It totally crashes after latest update. Lost the info for my latest entry.

The app has started crashing whenever I click “entries” to view the entries for a vehicle. Help!

It has been great but since I patched 01/03/2020 it crashes when I open entries!

When attempting to edit fuel or service entries the app crashes and closes. Hope to get an update to fix this issue.

New version crashes when checking entries. Is there a way to have fill ups default default to Premium weather than manually selecting grade each time?

When attempting to review your entries the app will crash every time. Service entry are unusable as the are all listing of service choices are unreadable, since the background and the font are the same colour. If not corrected, I look else where for an app that does what I want.

Useful app overall. Transferring data when changing phones is a bit of an archaic process. Still, handy for tracking maintenance intervals, etc.

I’ve been using this app for 5 years to keep track of my pickup and Harley. This app hasn’t been updated for over a year and the map feature that used to put a pin on a map where ever gas was purchased does not work with my IPhone 8. Very disappointed as that was one of the features that sold me on this app to begin with. Please update this app to work with phones newer than IPhone 6 !!

I have been using this app for years, and it handles almost everything well - except for a new set of tires. I can put it under tire balance or tire rotation, but it needs a New Set of Tires option that resets all tire-related data. Then I will give it 5 stars.

I really like this app. It’s simple and easy to use. Plus if you set it up, you can keep easy track of all your car maintenance. I’ve used it for easily 8 years, went through two phones. Had tons of data on my vehicles and my driving. Last phone got destroyed, no back up, nothing. Gone. Forever. There should be a feature to sync it with saved file. Something. It’ll allow you to email the data. But if you have something happen to your phone out of your control, you can’t save it.

I’ve been using this app for years and as of yet, have not found a better app for tracking service, repairs and gasoline purchases. Only thing I find a little weird is when you enter mileage and the dollar amount spent. Otherwise it’s a fantastic app which is why I rate it four stars.

This app should be pulled from the App Store. The fact that it’s $5 is a crime. Nothing saves and the interface is from 1990. To transfer any data you have to use a desktop and it’s cumbersome and time consuming. Stay away

Like others here have complained before, I have lost all my data when I upgraded my phone. App works reasonably well and once you get used to the interface it's quick for data entry, but it doesn't see to back data up to iCloud (or anywhere else) so you can easily loose your history (which for me is the point of the app)

I've been using this for years. I find the number entry a little weird, hitting the decimal when going for 0. It just seems off somehow. I also have to enter the $0.009 digit for price per gallon at every fill-up. It'd be nice if it was just understood and shown that way on the screen. The coup de gras for me though was that after buying 4 new tires, I got a rotation reminder 100 miles later. That should have been reset automatically after any tire purchase. Doing multiple maintenance items from one service is a pain to enter. I just don't feel like this has been as well thought out as possible considering the number of years it has been on the market. I'm using my new car as a reason to change to something else. Good luck.

I've used this app for several years now, haven't had any problems. I've backed up and restored information. Graphs are useful and reminders have always worked. Fuel stops are easy to enter. If I had a wish list it would be to synchronize a single car on 2 iPhones so can follow the wife's and daughters car on my phone to see when oil changes are coming up. The other lesser item on my wish list is to be able to attach invoices to work done at service centers.

I've put every entry from 3 of my cars and about 30 rentals in this app. It's excellent. Not sure of the point of the pit stop timer, which is just annoying, but the rest is superb for working out running costs. Slightly disturbing to know that I have put $20034.86 of gas through my truck, lol, but good to know it only cost me $78 in servicing for the last year. Also good to know that my new off road tires lose me about 2 mpg. If you want real stats, this app provides them. When I eventually sell and someone asks me for a service history they are in for a surprise! Well worth the peanuts it cost. Love it!

I had to reset my iPhone and before doing so I backed up everything to iTune. When I reinstalled everything all my other apps with stored information in them were as they had been before the reset but not this app. All my years of data for this app were gone. I have emailed the developer several times and gotten NO RESPONSE. Don't waste your money on this app as it is definitely not supported!

I just purchased this app a few days ago when I lost all my vehicle data from another app. So far I like what this app has to offer. Some of the things I would like to see tweaked or added is cloud backup of some sort. Currently from reading is that your data needs to be exported. You end to go online to import data to your iPhone. Seems a bit too much when you look at how cloud services are set up. When going through the various parts of the app. Things done seem completed. When I go in to add a service and spin to pick a service. I noticed that when I go down to the bottom of the screen just below the service selection. That it sounds like there is another spin selection at the bottom. I can hear it, but can't see it. Also, in the import section it asks for vehicle code and password. It give you the info of the site you need to go on a computer. As you read the small paragraph it ends at "importing your data requires your iPhone to have an". That's all. Like the developer stopped typing. The app needs a little work, but has a great start!
